New USPS MOVE UPDATE standards effective
November 23, 2008.
Trying to remove Undeliverable-As-Addressed (UAA) mail from it’s system the Post Office has implemented changes to get the users of direct mail to help and compliance is required every 95 days. Over the years the Post Office has been tracking non-deliverable mail which now exceeds 9.7 BILLION units at a whopping cost of 1.85 Billions Dollars. MOVE UPDATE is part of additional mailing requirement changes coming next spring which will include new postal rates and the implementation of the intelligent barcode.
What to do? It's simple, clean up the name and address files before you mail. Independence Direct
is ready to help! Provided as part of our in-house service,
our certified MOVE UPDATE process of NCOALink (National Change of Address) verifies and
corrects all of your addresses up front and can remove Undeliverable-As-Addressed (UAA) before
they go out.
By correcting the name and address information with "CURRENT" delivery
information your mail will process at the most economical rates available. This will save you
from wasting stock, postage and the potential cost of return mail notification.
